This brand was born from a real journey—one filled with risk, resilience, and faith.
There was a time when I tried to cross the ocean by boat in search of safety and opportunity. It wasn’t just a dream—it was a life-or-death decision. I wasn’t alone. Two strong and brave souls were with me on that journey: Djulissa and her daughter Abigael, who is my daughter-in-law. She called me “Dad.” Together, we faced fear, hunger, violent storms, and the terrifying unknown.
Although we didn’t reach our destination, we became stranded on an island for months. In those difficult months, we built a bond that will never be forgotten. Eventually, we made the difficult decision to return home, believing it was safer than staying on the island with no clear future.
Later, through the Humanitarian Parole program, we were given a second chance. In 2024, after waiting for over a year and three months, Djulissa, Abigael, my mother, and I were all approved to come to the United States.
Now, while we are grateful to be here, we live under the constant threat of being sent back. At the same time, our family back in Haiti depends on us. We carry their hopes, their struggles, and their strength with us every single day.
MC01 is more than just a brand.
It’s a tribute to that journey and the people who were part of it. It’s for everyone who has ever been displaced, who is searching for hope, and who refuses to give up.
